You are buying 4 pieces of 1.5mm VS mechanical pencil lead, suitable for Victorian Sampson Mordan pencils and others which require lead size "VS".  This size of lead was one of the most commonly used in pencils of the time although it has not been manufactured for decades and is a challenge to find.   However, with 4 of these long leads, you can now keep your antique pencils going for a very long time.....

These leads are brand new old stock - original vintage, taken from the tube of leads photographed ("S.P. 338 B. REFILLS BLACK for MECHANICAL PENCILS, 1.50mm").

Their softness is "B" which is "black" = nice and velvet soft.  The leads are long - 4 inches each (just over 10cm), and are manufactured with one sharpened end.

You will receive 4 leads, not supplied in the original S.P. 388 B. tube, but instead protected in a padded box to ensure they arrive with you in perfect condition.
