Marcel Bleustein, who added his resistance pseudonym, Blanchet, to his surname and is commonly called Bleustein-Blanchet1, was born on August 21, 1906 in Enghien-les-Bains and died on April 11, 1996 in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. He is a French advertising executive and founder of the Publicis group, today the third largest advertising group in the world.
Marcel married Sophie Vaillant (1916-1999), English professor in Milan and granddaughter of Édouard Vaillant, engineer, doctor, best known as a socialist politician and elected member of the Paris Commune (1871). She works at Elle and organizes shows on Radio Luxembourg2.

They had three daughters:
