The Akro Agate company began operations in Akron, Ohio in 1911, later moving to Clarksburg WV in 1914 due to accessibility of cheaper materials and fuel for the furnaces. In about 1935 the company diversified from the production of marbles to children’s dish sets with each set including multiple colors.  Here is a pair of blue slag creamers from a couple of such sets sold as a pair. Both are marked with the company logo on the bottom, albeit one is much clearer than the other creamer. Each measures 2 1/2” tall and 3 3/8” from handle to spout. in very good to excellent condition with only minor mold roughness especially felt at the back of the handle and the spout. I will mention also a visible line on the bottom of one creamer which appears to be a minor heat check but it cannot be seen on the inside of this item. I am not sure if this could be considered a straw mark or just due to the production process.  Nonetheless a great pair for those collecting these vintage. Please remember, both creamers are selling for one money at auction. Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description.

Please check back to my listings often as I will be posting numerous fine examples of glass, pottery and porcelain in the near future.

Thank you.
