Medium sized mid century vintage starburst brooch with orange/brown crystal beads and claw set rhinestones surrounding a single large aurora borealis faceted glass stone.
Simply gorgeous medium sized mid century crystal starburst brooch, in wonderful condition, with just the lightest of wear. This super sparkly brooch with bronzy orange crystal beads and rhinestones has a wonderful complex design. A large claw set iridescent aurora borealis rhinestone in the centre is surrounded by deep orange rhinestones. There is then another rim of chunky citrine coloured glass crystal beads, each mounted securely on a pin coming out from the back of the brooch. The is actually one of the most complex brooches I have seen and will really catch the light pinned to a dress or jacket at a red carpet event. The brooch fastens with a c shaped hook - this style of hook normally has a roll over clip, but I don't see any sign that this particular brooch ever had the roll over as the c hook has no scratches or indents where a roll over would have been. Certainly the pin fits nice and securely into the c hook.
