I'm selling for a friend, an original copy of the Daily Express newspaper dated May 31st 1940.

This edition famously covers the Dunkirk evacuation.

The paper is in good condition but has been folded over the years during its storage.

It also covers the general fighting around the British armies' retreat to the channel coast. 

It also mentions the RAF's involvement in the Battle of France and the civilians, making ready for a potential invasion.

As well as having great articles, there are always the beautifully dated adverts too.

This really is an amazing time-capsule of an important time in British and European history with the anniversary coming up.

I will pack it very carefully for travel
