Vintage pre-WW1 photograph of soldiers of 28th (County of London) Battalion, London Regiment (Artists' Rifles).  Message indicates that they were men of Section 4, 'B' Company.  Visible are variations of the regimental cap badge, as well as the shoulder title.  Also, marksman or musketry qualification patches.  Postmark on reverse looks to be Aug 1913 (although not 100% clear).  Message written by "Joe" and note added "Joe Lee", who was most probably Private Joseph Lee, 490, who embarked for France with the regiment in October 1914 (which later qualified him for the 1914 Star).  Private Joseph Lee, 490, was later promote to Acting Warrant Officer Class 2 (A/CSM), and went on to serve with the Machine Gun Corps, 89640.
