Roberta "Robin" Cuplin (1936-2004) was a popular Suburban Chicago artist and printmaker starting in the 1960s. Art Institute-trained, she was active through the 1990s.
The work at hand, an 18 1/2 by 13 inch watercolor double-matted to 24 by 18 inches dates from 1987. Depicting Lake Superior's famous Rock Harbor Light House, the painting is ink-signed in the field.
