Here we have a stunning Hofner President from 1960 in the Thinline electric variant.

Being from 1960, the guitar is fitted with two of Hofner’s desirable “Toaster” pickups, which along with the fact that this is the “Thin” model makes this quite a collectible guitar.

Overall it is in fantastic shape, the finish has aged beautifully and has a lovely sunburst present. The hardware also is in very good and still functional condition, and there is no celluloid rot to be seen on the tuner buttons.

Both electrically and acoustically the guitar sounds fantastic, it has a beautiful clean sound when plugged in, yet can also take a bit of gain very well.

It still has its original jumbo frets, which have just had a level, crown and polish (by the looks of it the first it’s ever had after leaving the factory), and it still has a perfectly playable action.

It’s currently set up with a fresh set of flatwound 10’s and is supplied with a non original hardcase. It’ll be very well packed for shipping, or you are welcome to collect it in person.

I’m very sad to see this one go, but it is time for it to have a new home!
