Michael G. R. Tolkien was born in Birmingham in 1943, and is a grandson of the
late J.R.R Tolkien, author of "Lord of the Rings".

Michael published his poetry collection "No Time for Roses" exclusively with Poetry Salzburg in 2009. Fewer than 200 copies were printed, and none of them were made available for sale on retail sites like Amazon. In this respect, this poetry collection is a bit of a collector's item.
The first 3 parts of "No Time for Roses" explore various kinds of illusion in our emotional, artistic & spiritual lives. The final
part celebrates the overwhelming power of love and deals with the loss of circumstances, objects and people we are attached to.

I purchased the last few copies of this book from Poetry Salzburg, and as his literary agent, I asked Michael Tolkien to kindly sign it for me on 17th Feb. '24.
