ESTATE SALE

My mother-in-law recently passed and we're finally going through the items that she collected while she worked in the entertainment industry.

She worked at the Paramount Pictures studio lot in Hollywood, California in the mid-1990s and then moved on to other companies in the biz.

Over the years, she obtained an extensive collection of rare Hollywood items, especially from her favorite franchise "Star Trek".  Scripts, crew gifts, screen used props and much, much more.

Our loss is your gain.  Please bid high and we thank you for your support!!

This item up for bids would make a great addition to any Star Trek fan’s collection.

“Star Trek: Deep Space Nine"

Script Submission Guidelines

1994-95

From the writer's offices of “Star Trek - Deep Space Nine” that were located in the Hart building on the Paramount Pictures studio lot in Hollywood, California.

This is a rare item that was sent out to potential writers that wanted to submit scripts or pitch a story to the writers of the hit show.

Star Trek was one of the few, if not the ONLY production in Hollywood that accepted story pitches from writers that were not a part of the WGA (Writer's Guild of America) or were not already on staff in the writer's department or were not a well established writer!!

The Submission Guidelines are 8 pages in length.

It is a checklist of requirements needed by the Legal Department at Paramount.  It gave the office address of where to send submissions to, some extensive do's and don'ts in the submission process.

It gave handy information on how to develop the story that the writer would like to submit as well as some guidance on writing the script itself.  How to submit a script to the "Star Trek" offices and whether the office was currently accepting script ideas for "Star Trek: Voyager".  It also contains a release form that must have accompanied any script submission to the production.

It is in pristine condition as it has been stored in a plastic protection cover bag with a cardboard backing to prevent damage/tears/folds.  It was taken out of the bag only to take these auction photos.

Note that the auction photo is censored to prevent copying.  The actual pitch letter does NOT have the black censorship boxes.)

Always kept in a non-smokers house!

NO stains or other damage!
