Loose Cannon is proud to preserve the USA's military history via its unique DVD film collections. Using a combination of U.S. Dept. of Defense archive films, combat footage, and period newsreels of the time, each film features actual wartime footage and or first-person accounts from those that were there.

This DVD contains the following SIX movies:

- The Hunter Killer Team
This 1954 issue of the U.S. Navy's Screen Magazine about the Hunter Killer Team—the work of anti-submarine warfare as conducted by the men of the fleet. Features famed journalist Edward R. Murrow. (20 min)

- Challenge from Below
An early Cold War Era film detailing tactics which might have been used to control sea lanes in non-nuclear conventional war between the U.S. / NATO and the Communist bloc aka Soviet Union. (17 min)

- TO CATCH A SHADOW
1969 Lockheed produced ASW film is about the U.S. Navy and their tactics in locating enemy submarines. Anti-submarine warfare (ASW) is a branch of underwater warfare that uses surface warships, aircraft, submarines, or other platforms, to find, track, and deter, damage, and/or destroy enemy submarines. (30 min)

- Co-ordinated Anti-Submarine Warfare Part I
A basic training film made by the U.S. Navy, "Co-ordinated Anti-Submarine Warfare Part I Why?" discusses how surface ships, aircraft and submarines work together to unravel the submarine threat. (18 min)

- Goblin on the Doorstep
1963 Grumman film shows the combined effort that is part of modern anti-submarine warfare, in which fixed and rotary wing aircraft work in conjunction with destroyers and escorts to locate and destroy enemy submarines. Featured in the film is footage of the fleet Sonar School, S-2 Tracker and the Neptune P2V. (28 min)

- THE SHIELD AND THE SWORD
Created by Lockheed in the late 1970s or early 1980s, THE SHIELD AND THE SWORD showcases the activities of the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise and focuses on Lockheed's S-3A Viking aircraft. (24 min)
