As shown, this listing features an extremely common piece. This is a RAREBIT dish, made for baking potatoes, lasagna, etc. in the oven. Of course, you can use them as tableware as well, but they will withstand oven baking.
Dish measure 9 5/8" from end to end at the extremes and is 5 1/4" across. Dish is a bit more than 1" deep. In AS-NEW condition!
While both TEPCO (El Cerrito) and Wallace China (Los Angeles) both enjoyed prolific sales of Western-themed restaurant china in the 1940's - early 1960's, the only company making a rarebit was TEPCO, Great design of a furious longhorn steer in the middle, surrounded by spurs, etc. Brown against a tan-colored china.
