A trio of badges awarded to a Scottish nurse for her General Nursing & Midwifery training during the 1960s. Sheila Mary Morrison completed her General Nurse training at the Glasgow Western Infirmary, becoming registered on 24.3.61. We have her Hospital badge in silver for the Glasgow Western Infirmary, numbered 2802, hallmarked for V&S Birmingham 1960.This is accompanied by her Registered General Nurse badge in silver numbered A43547 by Hamilton and Inches ,hallmarked 1960. This lady was also the winner of the General Excellence in Nursing Gold Medal from the Infirmary for 1962 however this was recently stolen from the auction House sale and is likely to have sold on and melted down! I do however have the box it came in!!
Lastly is a Central Midwives Board for Scotland badge ,engraved for 31317 SM Morrison 3.7.63
a nice representative group to one nurse.
