Vintage, 1930's if I calculate correctly, Santa Cruz, CA, lifeguard sweatshirt/hoodie from when the lifeguards were part of the Santa Cruz Police Dept, thus the SCPD lettering. Made in USA by Wilson Sports Equipment/ Wilson Western Sporting Goods Co. The back lettering was fuzzy but the fuzz is nearly worn off, but lettering remains in obvious condition, I'm guessing cotton knit fabric, no label on that, 2 front pockets, age showing some there, measures: pit to pit 28" plus stretch, neck back to hem 25", sleeves 23.5" to seam, 37" to center neck back. Overall amazing condition for age and it's a cool piece of history. Was worn wile lifeguarding at the pool on the "Santa Cruz, CA Boardwalk". Definitely a part of history! Please look closely at pics for big part of the description.
Payment within 2 days, no return, I ship on Wed., often sooner.

The last pic is of our dad lifeguarding in the 1930's at the Boardwalk, from an article in AAA Magazine,  to authenticate the age of the sweatshirt.

The fabric has a nubby French terry like feel inside and a smooth feel on the outside. Very soft.
