For bid: The earliest and rarest Escher type hone known. From the 1880’s. A Hohenzollern Abxiehsteine signed by Droescher of Thuringia. Thuringia region hone. A large Hone with small slurry hone stones in original box with original Labels. Label on stone is Ivory white which is unheard of!!! Identical label on its original box!! Stone /hone measures: 5” by 1 5/8” by 11/16”. Slurry stone which is the identical type stone is:

1 1/2” by 13/16” by 7/16”. Stone is dead flat with very very minor wear from use. Slurry stone is dead flat with a small corner missing. Shown in pictures. Stones at the used surfaces have very small faint scratches from use. Stones are very hard and ping when touched together. Stones are cold to the touch. Color is characterized as Blackish green. This stone is signed by Escher and states in German: only 8 others of this quality: before his signature!!! As I interpreted it on the internet. I know enough about these Eschers to say it is of the highest quality hone and is extremely rare in this condition! Please ask questions!
