Up for your consideration is a vintage wooden hand carved French chess set and board. This was picked up by my Grandfather somewhere in his many travels. He was a British Military Officer during World War II and later a Diplomat. It had been used in my fishing cottage for many years. It measures 15 inches square. Probably dates to the early 1950’s. Enjoy playing chess with this vintage French wood boxwood chess set and case perfect for 17 years and up. It is designed with a classic Staunton chess piece and features an elegant multi-colored wood design. The set includes an exquisite wooden case for storage and display.
