Offered is a rare and detailed example of a British Turtle carapace fragment; Pleurosturnum cf. bullocki, exposed on both surfaces of the matrix and from the famous 'Jurrasic Coast' of Dorset.

From theUpper Building Stone, Durlston Beds of  Purbeck, Swanage,this specimen belonged to a good sized marine turtle, and this fragment has shell approx.1.5cm thick, with sharp detail of the upper and lower plastron (?) structures .........In all a fine and displayable example of a rare marine reptile from a World- famous locality. Matrix appro. 10cm X 13cm X 2cm (weight 1kg)
