Each of the magnificent portfolios in the unprecedented collection features:
• Official U.S. Bicentennial Era Commemorative Stamps with face values ranging from 32¢ to 72¢ per portfolio, many of which are al- ready collector's items in their own right.
• A faithful reproduction of the extraordinarily valuable original stamp artwork used in the production of these official Bicentennial Era commemorative stamps.
• illustrations of historic 18th Century engravings from The Smithsonian Institution, The library 01 Congress and National Archives depicting exciting stories about the subjects commemorated.
Designed as an official tribute to the many men and women who fought so gallantly to help America win her independence, this heirloom collection consists of these eight commemorative portfolios; to be issued weekly at participating Sunoco and DX service stations.
