Desert reptiles in particular are exposed to strong sunlight in nature and require relatively high concentrations of UV-B rays. They should therefore be kept under a D3+ reptile lamp with 12% UV-B. In contrast, forest reptiles such as the day gecko need less UV-B rays.
As a full-spectrum lamp, the Arcadia D3+ reptile lamp imitates sunlight. This ensures a brighter color reproduction and therefore a more attractive appearance of the reptiles and their surroundings.
The color temperature of 7,500 K roughly corresponds to the mix of direct and indirect light on a bright, cloudless day.
