This pattern was used to make plush dolls of "Little Brown Koko" and his dog "Shoog" who were characters in a series of stories written by  Blanche Seale Hunt and published in The Household Magazine,  beginning in 1935. In 1940, some of the stories were published in book form via Capper Publications, who also published the pattern

I believe the pattern is intact. There are pieces, such as the ear and arm, that required multiple pieces to be cut. The tracing paper is also with the pattern, The Capper envelope is barely holding together..it is interesting that the envelope is labeled as "Black Sambo Doll Pattern" by the owner.

This is definitely a unique piece of ephemera!

It will be shipped in a padded envelope with cardboard backing.

***Oh, I forgot to mention the reason for the Lucky Strikes photo.........It is the "other side" of the Shoog picture, showing the date of 1940.*******
