Serving as the president of the National Sculpture Society from 1928 to 1931, Weinman also held esteemed positions in the New York City Art Commission (1924-1928) and the National Commission of Fine Arts (1928-1932). Elected as a full member of the National Academy of Design in 1911, he was also a member of the American Numismatic Society and the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
