These very low mintage BU coins show KCIII wearing the Crown. The official bust (without the Crown) of KCIII was made prior to the passing of QEII and the bust was officially accepted by KCIII.
The Crown that KCIII is wearing, depicted in these coins, was added later to the existing coin Dies in preparation for the Coronation Ceremony.
To my knowledge, other than Proofs and very low mintages of Gold coins, these are the only circulation coins in the UK that show KCIII wearing the Crown. The balance of UK items that will use KCIIIs image (Currency, Postage Stamps etc.) will use the bust without Crown.
