These pants were found at an Estate Sale where most of the other clothing in the bags with it came from the 1960s and 70s with a few items from the 1980s and 90s. These pants have a nylon zipper suggesting they were made after 1960. The presence of the Care Tag indicates they were made after 1971. There is no union tag so most likely they were produced after 1980 but the exact year is unknown.

The pants have no waistband, pleats or pockets. The zipper and hook/eye closure are on the left side of the pants.
The only tags on these pants are the remains of a cardboard tag and a care tag. The care tag refers to the fabric as "Dearswade." Despite many internet queries, no information could be found about this fabric. The closest result was for Deer Suede or Buck Suede, a faux suede. Faux suede is mostly made from polyester or polyurethane. The fabric of the pants is soft and feels "suede like" on the outside. The inside is smooth.

Wording on the care tag: "DO NOT DRY CLEAN. Dearswade is machine washable in warm water 105 degrees at medium cycle. Use a mild detergent. Do not soak, wring or twist. Machine dryable. Medium cycle. Remove promptly when dry. Hang to shape. Do not press."
These pants are in good pre-owned condition with no rips, tears or stains; however, there is a small fray at the bottom of the zipper, some light wear on the waistband near the top of the zipper and some hanger impressions around the waistband. Check measurements and examine photos closely.
