A great driving MGB roadster with overdrive in mainly original condition.

The car still wears its original cellulose coat of Iris Blue paint, with a few repair patches here and there. The interior has been re trimmed at some point but is gently bedded in so now is in keeping with the rest of the car.

Mechanically the car is spot on, very strong and is an absolutely fantastic driving car. I would trust it to drive anywhere with no issues whatsoever. It drives exactly how an MGB should - something that rebuilt and upgraded cars never achieve.

Engine sweet as a nut with good oil pressure. Gearbox tight with no wines and no wines from the rear axle either. Suspension is taught with no knocks or rattles

The underside is really solid and I can only see one smallish area where it has been welded in the past.

I have had the car for 12 years and have clocked up a fair few miles each year on day trips in the sun and weekends away. I have at times in the summer used it as my daily driver. Prior to me there were 4 previous owners. It was supplied new in Newton Abbott, Devon and lived its entire life in Torquay. I bought it from a real old school classic car garage in Paignton. The first husband and then his widow had the car for about 35 years after buying the car new. I have photos of the house the car lived at.

Areas for improvement:
- there are a few chips in the paint and  areas where it has been resprayed in slightly different shade of blue
-small amount of bubbling around 2” on rear wing. It has been like that in all the time I have had the car and never got any worse.
-the hood has had various repairs here and there and appears to have shrunk a bit so there are smallish gaps where it meets the body up when it is up. However the car is still watertight.

Overall, this is a great drivers car. It is by no means a concours winner but something to get in and enjoy without having to worry about it getting wet on occasions etc.
