Finally cleaning out my flight gear bag I've been dragging around since 1989. This is my original SV-2B survival vest I wore when I was flying A-6Es off the USS Nimitz and then as a spin instructor at VF-43 based at  NAS Oceana. It's almost 35 years old so you can see it has a wee bit of wear.  Almost every metal piece on it has corrosion.  On the other hand, it still has almost all the survival gear that I was issued at the time.  These include 2 water bottles (still full!), a survival knife, a pen flare launcher (no flares though), a box of matches wrapped in plastic, a whistle, a signal mirror, a compass watch, a signal beacon, a shroud line cutter, and standard L flashlight.  The batteries are corroded inside the flashlight and I didn't even try to take them out. The signal beacon MIGHT work with a new battery, but no guarantees. The vest does not include the inflatable life vest or a so-called .38 cal "survival pistol".

I'm selling the whole vest as is.  I'll even send you the full water bottles in case you want to do a science experiment or something.

Bid high and often!

PS, the last picture I posted is only a demo to show what this type of vest would look like when fully dressed out.  Pay no attention to the VF-14 patch since they were one of the F-14 squadrons on the Nimitz when I was there and they were all butt-heads.
