Vintage Minolta SRT100X 35mm film SLR.

The SRT's were solidly built and highly regarded. The SRT100X is a 'no frills' manual* camera. ideal if you want to get into the 'vintage/retro' film scene. It's fully manual: the battery only powers the meter (see below) which is fully working.

It will take any minolta MC or MD mount lens; shutter speeds: B to 1/100; ASA12** to 6400. 'Match needle' metering. (I always liked that: with practice it's easy to increase/decrease exposure without the need for an exposure compensation dial!)

The camera is in very good condition, with just a few very minor usage marks. The 'Passed' sticker is still pristine. Supplied with an early genuine Minolta body cap and battery.

A copy of the operating manual is available online here: https://www.cameramanuals.org/minolta_pdf/minolta_sr-t_100.pdf

NB: This SRT has been fitted with a Schottky diode, which reduces the voltage for the meter to the original 1.35V for more accurate metering with commonly available 1.5V button cells*** without the need for expensive adapters or the fussy and expensive Weincell.

* 'Fully manual' and 'no frills' in this case means in the SRT100X there is just the exposure metering needle visible in the viewfinder: no shutter-speed or lens aperture indication. You're on your own: 'Sunny 16' rule, experience, practice, or an exposure meter required to make full use of it!

(I'll throw in a free vintage Weston Master Exposure Meter, with case, to help.)

** Though where you would find an ASA 12 film now, I don't know!

*** A '625' equivalent cell (fitted)  fits in the battery compartment; the more widely used silver oxide 1.5V cells are smaller: they need to be fitted with a rubber '111' 'O ring': outside diameter: 5/8 ins, internal diameter: 7/16 ins to fit tightly in the battery compartment, and the contact may need to be bent up a little as they are also thinner.
