The Macedonian King was a renowned and feared military strategist, leader and considered one of the greatest leaders in world history. He was ruthless, dictatorial and ambitious to the point of regarding himself as divine. His conquests of the Mediterranean states, the Persian empire and parts of India spread Hellenistic culture across these regions. Born 356 B.C. he died relatively young at 32 years of age in 323 B.C..

The obverse of the coin presents ALEXANDER the GREAT on his horse, BOSEPHALUS with sword and shield in the midst of battle. Dressed in Macedonian light armour, light and durable, cloak flowing behind him as his horse tramples upon one of many foes Alexander would defeat. The fallen enemy lies upon a stylized rocky ground facing no mercy from the Macedonian King.   All set before a mountain range under the big sky. The only inscription to the piece being the name ALEXANDER THE GREAT.

The reverse of the coin presents an array of weaponry held to a stylized wooden plank panel. Mace, axe, arrow, bow, spear and sword each defined in fine detail. Above the weapons of siege and war the title of the series  LEGENDARY WARRIORS. Below the array you have the weight 1.oz and finesse 999 FINE SILVER. 

The collection of Legendary Warriors is expected to be 15 pieces and once complete will make a wonderful collection and investment.
