Behind its blue door, gears driven by the steady turning of a water wheel grind grains for the making of bread, a favourite food no Hobbit accustomed to the comforts of the Shire can long go without. This detailed little environment is an exacting miniature replica of the movie set that can be visited at Hobbiton in Matamata, New Zealand. It was designed by the same artists and craftspeople who worked on the movie.
