''Meridian RP-408'' (until 1986 ''Meridian-408'') was created on the basis of the ''Selga-410'' model. ''Meridian RP-408'' is a small-sized, dual-range MW and LW superheterodyne, assembled on a microcircuit, a field-effect transistor, several resistors, capacitors, circuits and common radio nodes. Ranges: LW - 148...285 kHz, MW - 525...1607 kHz. Sensitivity in the ranges LW - 2.5 mV/m, MW - 1.3 mV/m. Adjacent channel selectivity with a detuning of + - 9 kHz is at least 30 dB. The range of reproducible frequencies is 450...4000 Hz. Maximum output power 150 mW. The dimensions of the radio receiver are 77x160x38 mm, the weight with batteries is 380 grams. Powered by 3 AA elements. In 1990, the receiver was renamed to ''Meridian RP-308'', the design and layout of the model are the same.
