For sale is a new copy of Joseph Heller's Classic, "Catch-22." This book is new despite having the original copyright date of 1961. It does have the red on the top of the book like a true first edition but lacks the price on the dust jacket that is seen on true first editions. This is likely a Book Club edition.
Heller's novel wasn't popular when it was first released, but when the paperback version came out in 1962, it was a huge hit driven by the anti-war movement against U.S. involvement in Vietnam.
NOTE: While the book is a new book-shiny dust jacket-immaculate pages, and tight binding that doesn't appear to have been fully splayed, it does have some small marks on the cover, as depicted in the photographs.
