Mid Century 1960s Professor Made Molecular Crystal Structure Sculpture 50cm.


A superbly stylish and well constructed with excellent detail and accuracy, handmade by a university professor during the 1960s, large scale molecular atom structure for the Keatite crystal, si o2.


The university teaching aid is handmade with wooden painted balls, each colour represents an atom, connected by steel rods, each at the correct degree of angle to show the atomic structure of the crystal. Fantastic visual aids whilst also a magnificent art sculpture in the mid 20th century and earlier Bauhaus style.
