This is a popular brand from the 70s as it was built like a more expensive version of a 12 string acoustic guitar. The nut is the full 1.875 inch width, not easy to find on inexpensive acoustics. I have installed a new nut (luthier for 30 years), new saddle, and made a new bridge from macassar ebony (the old one was gone except for its outline on soundboard). I also noticed a bulge below the bridge, which is common to find on older laminated body guitars, so I installed a bridge doctor, which has substantially reduced the bulge and has begun to re-level the bridge. Action is good, can go lower still if you like. You can block sand the bridge down another 1/16 inch or more if you want; you can sand 1/16 inch off the bottom of the saddle also. If you sand the bridge down, angle your block slightly toward the back of the bridge so as to improve its level aesthetic. No need to do any of that now, just enjoy playing it for awhile and decide. This guitar is a step up from the narrower neck//nut 12 strings of the age. The only step up from this guitar would be a solid wood 12 string at a much higher price ($1500 plus) and unless you gig, no improvements needed. If you do gig, install a pickup and higher quality sealed tuners and you will have a very playable and great sounding guitar for very little money. Includes chipboard case. Will ship to Continental US for $60.
