"Respectable Attire for Responsible People"

Wear this dapper "Prince of Wales Check" (aka Glen Plaid) town and country sport coat by JAEGER and you're sharing in the legendary British maker's rich history that began in 1884 as "Dr Jaeger's Sanitary Woollen System Co Ltd."

Jaeger went on to win a Royal Warrant in 1910... manufacture woollen long johns for British and Commonwealth Troops in World War I... then switch to fashion in the 1920's... and open its flagship store on London's Regent Street in the 1930's.

Jaeger clothing was modelled by both Aubrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe in the 1950's and picked up a British Fashion Award in 1996.

Natural fibres remained central to the brand throughout its history.  The camel hair coat was a Jaeger invention and it also utilised other exotic woollens such as cashmere, angora, and alpaca.

So it's no wonder Jaeger selected the finest cashmere-soft 100% for this lush crafted in Italy coat... while speaking to its proud British heritage with the distinctive Prince of Wales pattern named after Edward VII who popularized the check when he was Prince of Wales. (See his fondness for it in our album.)

This dashing Jaeger gem is in wear-free tip-top condition inside and out... right down to the lush Bemberg satin lining and spotless pocket casings.  It casts a striking tailored silhouette in walnut and cranberry hues and carries higher levels of tailoring with:
