This set includes 4 light bricks which take 3 AAA batteries each. One of the light bricks does not light up itself, but it lights up the little lighted squares just fine. Also included is 18 light up square w connectors for most of them. There are a lot of blocks and accessories that are translucent for the light to shine through. These were all a part of the Sparkle Salon set.
