I am offering for auction a lovely antique oil painting on canvas.

The painting shows a charming portret -  handsome man with beard, cap and pipe.

The painting is signed, E. Rossi { Enrico Rossi ( 1858 - 1916), is a famous Italian painter, see for more info. below}.

Size of the canvas is, 12.2 x 16.5  inches.

Size of the outside of the frame is,  16 x 20.3 inches.

Both the painting and the frame are showing light signs of wear because of its old age. 

There is a small dent in the canvas, nearby the mans shoulder, is not that bothersome when hanging. { see pictures}.

Enrico Rossi (September 8, 1856 in Naples – 1916) was an Italian painter. He studied painting at the Royal Institute of Fine Arts of Naples under the direction of professors Domenico Morelli and Filippo Palizzi. He won a series of awards for figure paintings at Milan and at the Promotrice of Naples. At Milan he had two genre subjects. was one of his pupils. He also illustrated books including a Collection of Neapolitan Songs by Salvatore Di Giacomo

Enrico Rossi was an Italian artist who was born in 1858. Enrico Rossi's work has been offered at auction multiple times, with realized prices ranging from 162 USD to 1,551 USD, depending on the size and medium of the artwork. Since 2007 the record price for this artist at auction is 1,551 USD for A young beauty, sold at Christie's South Kensington in 2007. The artist died in 1916.
