A sweet discovery nestled under several layers if old torn French cloths., most likely to add warmth.

Darling old lisere floral French boutis quilt from about the 1920’s/30’s.

The color is closest to a chambray blue with rose, green, cream. Pstina has deepened the colors.

It’s extremely charming yet primitive having a large mend in the center & loads of patina which I opted to leave as is. It’s pleasing on this & gives it a nice old nuance.

The old patina has aged the back color to a bone or oyster tone which is appealing on a piece like this as well.

Definitely not for everyone but certainly lends it’s own bit of sweet ambiance. Rolled on the end of a bed would be darling. I love the patina’d back side too. Neat color.

So sold as is, unwashed with the inherent time spent qualities Ive shown & described. Any washing is up to the new owner.

***Measures~ aprox 59” by 66”

It’s a heavier piece.

Many thanks!

Hello and welcome to Pia's~

I sell antique and vintage fabric. Each textile is different; some possibly used, some unused. I will give you my best assessment. I do not always launder them nor do I know all their history, how they have been stored over time etc.. I have a 30+ year long &  extensive knowledge of textiles and gauge age ranges; fiber content etc.. to the best of my ability. As always please view all photos, dimensions etc.. as they are part of the description. Please keep in mind that I provide the best photos possible but monitors do vary. If my eyes should miss a small flaw, please know it is not intentional. I am always available and happy to answer any inquiries so always please ask if I have not addressed something that may be important to you.I do combine shipping whenever possible. If you are an international buyer or purchasing multiple pieces, please wait for my personal invoice as ebay's auto. combined invoices are rarely accurate. You can do this by either messaging me or using the drop down button that says "request total from seller" after your purchase but prior to paypal checkout. Again, if you have any questions, please message me.
