This miniature market basket was made using traditional American country basket weaving techniques! The artist prepared hardwood splints and dyed them with a deep brown dye that looks like it came from a vegetal source. This was masterfully woven and included a top handle and single lashing at the rim. It is unsigned. This measures approx 3.5" H x 2.75" W x 2.5" D. This would be adorable on display, used as a doll accessory or to showcase a tiny arrangement.
