Rigid heddle loom weaving kit. Included are a fully assembled loom, instructions and all the accessories needed to get you weaving your own scarf and fabrics. Included is the scarf weaving kit which has the yarn and pattern to weave a beautiful 100% British wool scarf.This compact loom is perfect for a beginning weaver to learn to weave on. The loom also has a neutral position though allowing the weaver to progress onto more complex pick up stick weaving techniques. Once the yarn in the kit has been used you can use the loom to continue to weave scarves and fabric using doubleknit yarn.
This loom has been designed and made totally by us in our workshop in the UK.
The scarf shown in the images is not included as you will be weaving this yourself using the kit.
Kit comes with:
- A rigid heddle loom with a weaving width of 26cm
- a reed with a sett of 8epi - perfect for weaving double knit DK yarn
- a booklet of instructions with images and a step by step guide enabling you to set the loom up and weave on it.
- instructions to weave the blue, grey and white scarf
- two clamps
- three shuttles
- warping peg
- plastic threading hook,
- skeins of British wool yarn sufficient to weave the scarf
The rigid heddle loom is made from FSC and PEFC birch plywood. Dimensions of the loom are 34cm x 39cm x 11cm(with the heddle in the up position) or 9cm(with the heddle in the down position).
