Donruss Original Odd Rods Trading Card Set - 1969

For your viewing pleasure is very nice, Near Mint, complete set of the original Odd Rods Trading Cards. This set was issued by Donruss, in 1969, and contains trading cards of caricatures in souped-up cars. All cards are in Near Mint condition, with sharp corners. As these cards are over 50 years old, a few of the cards have some very minor issues, to include minor yellowing (patina), raggedly cut edges, roller ink, off-center cuts, and, in one case some staining. I will describe them in more detail below.
All in all you will receive the following;
Card #1 - Big Daddy. The "Holy Grail" of this set. Has minor patina.
Card #2 - Mistua Mustang. No major issues. Maybe some patina on left side when viewed from back.
Card #3 - Gee-Tee-O. Upper-left corner is bumped. Has minor patina, and is miscut when viewed from back.
Card #4 - Powered by Junk! Minor ink roll marks at upper-right.
Card #5 - Bad Start - No real issues noted.
Card #6 - Blower Bracket - No significant issues noted.
Card #7 - Mad Dragger - No significant issues noted.
Card #8 - Hemi Sprint - Minor patina.
Card #9 - Hill Climber - Minor patina, and minor staining on back.
Card #10 - Super Stuff - No significant issues noted.
Card #11 - Imported Animal - No significant issues noted.
Card #12 - Big Fink - No real issues. Maybe some patina along left edge.
Card #13 - Gas Eater - No significant issues noted.
Card #14 - Chrome Coffin - No significant issues noted.
Card #15 - Ram Charger - No significant issues noted.
Card #16 - Let's Drag Hog - No significant issues noted.
Card #17 - Rocker Racer - No significant issues noted.
Card #18 - Draggin Machine - No significant issues noted.
Card #19 - Sharecropper - No significant issues noted.
Card #20 - Mad Shifter - No significant issues noted.
Card #21 - H2O Go - Maybe a bit of wear at upper-right corner and patina at left edge.
Card #22 - Super Shift - No significant issues noted.
Card #23 - So What! - The left and top edges, and corners, show a bit of wear.
Card #24 - Volks Rule - Maybe a bit of gum residue.
Card #25 - Fords Breakfast of Chevys. 2nd "Holy Grail" of the set. Minor staining to front, upper-left corner. Bummer!!
Card #26 - Mini-Quick - Overall wear noted to front. Clean back.

Unfortunately, there is not a lot of information published about the history of the Odd Rods - certainly not as much as say, Wacky Packages. Donruss issued the original Odd Rods in 1969, and due to their popularity, followed up with several other sets;

2. Silly Cycles (66 cards) - 1970. Numbered 1 thru 66. "Collect all 66" on back, lower-right corner.

4. Odd Rod All-Stars - 1971. Numbered 1 thru 66. Reprints of fan favorites.....but renumbered.
5. Fabulous Odd Rods - 1973. Reprint of Odder Odd Rods. NO "Collect all 66 Odder Odd Rods Cards on back.
6. Fantastic Odd Rods - Series 1 - 1973. Reprint of Oddest Odd Rods, but with Pink borders.
7. Fantastic Odd Rods - Series 2 - 1973. Numbered 1 thru 66. Brand new set of Monsters/Fiends in cars/trucks.
8. Fiends and Machines - 19??. 33 Fiends (1-33) - all of which could be aligned on top of the machines (34-66).
