Shipping -

When more than one item are ordered on the same day by one buyer, as many as possible items are combined in the same shipment to minimise shipping costs (i.e. if 4 or 3 items are ordered, we will try to make one shipment rather than 3 individual shipments. Two shipments will be done, only in especial cases where the items occupy large space or weight).

For the EU, shipping is done via UPS Standard International with a tracking number that is provided to the buyer once the item is dispatched. Estimated delivery time is 7-14 working days. The cost is 20 EUR for purchases with a value of less than 350 EUR and otherwise free of charge.

For outside Europe and the EU, please contact us before ordering to arrange the shipping. The cost of shipping is 30 EUR with a tracking number that is provided to the buyer once the item is dispatched. Other fees (customs, etc) are not included. Estimated delivery time is 7-14 working days.

"The editor has succeeded well in the selection of authors, who have particularly strong profiles in their respective areas of research."……"Overall, this is an excellent book with a lot of valuable, concisely presented information. The literature references usually end with the year 2001. Occasional language shortcomings, or formulas that are printed too small, cannot significantly detract from the high quality of the contributions."

Metal-arene pi-complexes show a rich and varied chemistry. The metal adds a third dimension to the planar aromatic compounds and coordination of a metal to an arene thus not only altering the reactivity of ring-carbons and substituents but also makes possible reactions that lead to chiral non-racemic products. This book, organized in nine chapters and written by leading scientists in the field provides the reader with an up-to-date treatise on the subject organized according to reaction type and use. It covers the wide spectrum of arene activation: from the electrophilic activation of h
6-bound arene by pi-Lewis acid metal complex fragments, to reactions of nucleophilic h2-coordinated arene complexes. The preparation of complexes is detailed, as are the scope, limitations and challenges of reactions in contemporary pi-arene metal chemistry with special attention given to asymmetric transformations. The emphasis of the book is on transformations of interest to organic synthesis and on the use of the complexes as catalysts or as chiral ligands.
The book is written for academic and industrial researchers in organic, organometallic, and inorganic chemistry as well as for advanced chemistry students.
