An unusual antique Japanese earthenware box with slip decoration. It is signed with an impressed Shimazu clan type mark, and "JAPAN". The box is just under 6.25 inches long and just under 3 inches tall. There is some crazing, and some light age discoloration, and a few pinpoint rubs and nicks, but overall it is in excellent condition. Please see the photos for details. Thank you for looking!
