It is about 15 years old (bought new Feb'09) but only ~6 active years with the rest of the time in storage.  The cam shows some wear but the trigger is smooth and overall has a lot of life left!  The sewn sling is the original and while it looks good, the industry-standard recommendation is to replace them every 5-10 years so please do so before taking a fat whipper. 

The BD Neutrino carabiner is well-loved and has some black tape fragments that marked it as "mine" -- helpful for Indian Creek trips when you're piling your gear with friends!!  No visible damage and the gate works well. 

In any case, get your rack started -- or expand it -- on the cheap!!
