A Buddhist Tibetan goat skull and horn Kapala. The age is estimated to be mid-20th Century. Hand decorated with nickel and brass relief ornamentation, copper over the nose, and what appears to be deep red glass. A Kapala is a Buddhist ritual implement that comes in many forms. This is made from a real goat skull. No harm was done to a living creature in the process of making this piece. Items like this are made from the bones of animals that either died of natural causes or were used as a food source.

The Kapala is ready to hang on a wall via a twisted wire loop at the top of the skull. This piece is approximately 8” tall, 14” wide, and 12” deep. It is on a good vintage condition with minor imperfections due to age.
