Beautiful Williamsburg, Chippendale mirror and bracket shelf with brass hanging hooks.

Inspired by an original antique wall bracket made about 1760 England, this classic bracket probably held a candlestick, ornamental ceramic, or small shelf. The grace support is in the style of a late baroque Cabrolet leg, a popular 18th century furniture style replicating a gentle S curve and providing sturdy balance.

Throughout the 18th century, small looking glasses, such as this, often were used for shaving or dressing. Areproduction of a charming looking glass made about 1770, this mirror highlights the highly arched scroll crest and graceful symmetry of the original in the collections of the colonial Williamsburg foundation .
