A rare set of 6 antique Hammersley English bone china Shakespeare plates with raised gold borders. The plates date from between 1910 and 1920. 4 of the plates are by Walter Paget, 1 by J. H. Bacon, and one by H. M. Paget. The 6 plates are Hamlet and Ophelia, Falstaff and Mrs Ford, Othello, Death of King Lear, Portia and Shylock, and Rosalind. The plates are just over 9.25 inches diameter, and all 6 are in excellent condition with no chips, no cracks, no flea bites, no repairs, just some light age-appropriate wear.
