I found an old Bible Quilt, made in Switzerland, dated 1873 to 1878.  It was extremely worn and torn but some of the quilt squares were still intact.  I cut those from the quilt which can be used as candle mats.  This square is approximately 12' x 12". Each square has a Bible verse written in calligraphy.  This square says, "Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, good will, toward men". Above that is the signature "Carrie M. Geliott".  The last name is hard to read so Geliott may be wrong.  Below the scripture is "Switzerland, 1873".
