A NEW & Hard to Find - Evian Limited Edition "The Baby Inside" Black Baby Vintage T-shirt

Right off the runway as seen at the New York, Paris and Dubai Fashion Weeks

In the immortal words of the progressive hip hop crew Digable Planets, “we’re just babies, man”.  Apparently, Evian ascribes to that theory as well, as they moved toward purity and innocence in their bottled water with their Evian Live Young, Baby Inside T-Shirts.  The shirts were part of a campaign for pure bottled water, showing a wide range of faces and skin tones matches with an image of the wearer as a baby.  Far beyond Evian’s ad campaign, the shirts themselves are as fresh and playful as it gets.

The ad campaign developed by advertising agency BETC Euro RSCG, Paris, France and run by Evian Water, which invited consumers to live young by drinking Evian! With this campaign, Evian reasserted its vision of youth as a positive, universal value that everyone shares.

The t-shirt features the realistic image of a black baby from the neck down who is sporting his diapers.  When you wear the shirt, you will look like you have morphed into the body of a baby, but you’ll still have your big, grown-up-sized head. At first glance, nobody should be able to gather whether the baby’s body is that of a girl or boy. Therefore, men or women are welcome to wear the shirt, it's unisex.

The Commercial

Developed by BETC Euro RSCG and produced by Legs from the famous MILK Studios in New York, the commercial uses stop-motion technology and is based on the simple principle of childhood flipbooks. Men and women, wearing a t-shirt printed with babies in different poses, appear one by one to the beat of the music, creating the illusion that the babies are dancing. The people in the video were found through a street casting in NYC where the directors asked charismatic people of different ages and styles to participate. The music, which expresses the energy and freshness of youth, plays an essential role in this commercial designed to look like a music video. A version of “Wordy Rappinghood” by Tom Tom Club was selected, remixed by DJ Mehdi with Uffie for the online version. In tribute to the “Roller Babies” film, the TV version was broadcast with a new remix of “Rapper’s Delight”.
