HANDSOME ART DECO STERLING SILVER CIGARETTE CASE

circa 1930 product of Watrous Manufacturing Company (Wallingford, Connecticut)

Bench-crafted by a fine American silversmith.  Custom applied sterling monogram set with three round faceted rubies.  

Rectangular with gently rounded corners.  Shaped push-tab opening on a flush six-knuckle hinge.  Spring-loaded bar secures contents in brilliant vermeil interior.  Pierced bar hallmarked with logo of Watrous "STERLING" and 90.

The condition of this 90 year old case is nothing short of astounding.  Wonderful "hand feel."
