No One Waved Good-Bye: a casualty report on rock and roll edited by Robert Somma. Writings on the spate of deaths at the end of the 1960s - Brian Epstein, Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin - originally published in Fusion magazine (Boston, USA) in 1971 and collected together for this book first edition, published in the UK in 1973 by Charisma Books, an offshoot of the record label of the same name and logo.

Interesting anyway for its contemporary perspective on drug-related deaths that have thrown a long shadow over the history of rock'n'roll, it also features an article / chapter written by Lou Reed, recently ex-Velvet Underground and having been through a bit of a rough patch himself, entitled 'Fallen Knights and Fallen Ladies'.  There are photos and great illustrations, including four consecutive paintings of Brian Jones in which his face is gradually covered by waves.
