or Battery (4 AA batteries). I tested it with

batteries and it does run on them. The tray that 

holds the AAs is pretty snug and it takes some 

patience to get the hang of inserting them. 

The good news and the not so good news. 

- The good news first. This radio powers up 

and plays like a champ on either power source.  

I live in an extremely

marginal broadcast area and very little

comes in inside the house.  But I plugged this

one into the outlet and stepped outside the front 

door and it pulled in broadcasts all over the 

dial on both AM and FM.

It has a very powerful and fully extendable

antenna (shown in photos).

The radio itself is in terrific shape, but the 

leather case has not fared as well and the 

snap loops have given way (see photo details) - 

so the carry strap is not anchored at one end. 

Despite this, it does still display well. 

This model with both AM & FM bands, is

incredibly rare on eBay or anywhere else 

and will make not only a great addition to 

a collection, but a terrific, rugged player 

capable of getting a lot of long range signals in.
